Shevy was honored to perform and support the recent Girls In Power Gala in Thousand Oaks, CA. Girls in Power is a great organization providing programs for at-risk girls in the Conejo Valley. Thanks to the Acorn for the coverage!

Congrats to Topanga students Ainslie Irvin and Morguinn Korbonski for their magical performances last Friday, September 21st at Topanga Talent Night. Ainslie performed her own composition called "Nothing Compares to California", while Morguinn delivered a rolicking rendition of "Ob La Di, Ob La Da". Nice work girls! So proud of you.
On September 16th, the GWG Orange County chapter gathered at Sam Ash Music in Westminster to celebrate another great summer of music! With 20 performers, the showcase was jam packed with variety and entertainment. We are so proud of all of the artists who joined and grateful to all of the family and friends who supported:)

It's getting serious, folks! So, for the past few years we have kept GWG as a "word of mouth" sort of business. Whenever newspapers were kind enough to write a story, we've obliged, but I've been rather reticent to delve into full fledged "let's grow this thing" mode. But, as I finish writing the first book of GWG Curriculum which has been curated over the past few years working with my wonderful students, I see the capacity to make this a really powerful movement in Los Angeles and beyond. My hope is to hire even more teachers (it has been so fun to see how deeply in love with Lakin everybody has fallen:) to be serving even more students in our quest to have a more musically rich and creatively expressed world.
One tiny step you can take in helping us do this is a Yelp review. I use it for restaurants because I trust an establishment that illicits that kind of dedication from their customers... the same is true for any business. So, if you have the time, go review us! Thx- shev

GWG is excited to expand into the Woodland Hills and Calabasas areas this spring! As you all know, we take expansion pretty seriously over here as we always want to maintain the highest quality of instruction possible. We are so proud and excited for our fellow student Valerie (age 7) for winning the t-shirt design contest for the Seal Beach Fun Run. Below is her design.... very impressive!!!! She also won a bicycle for her efforts. We love seeing artistic talent expressed in every medium. Great job, Valerie!!!!
